Here’s why local companies are moving into the flexible office space in this thriving business park with excellent links to London

Being based in a business park rather than in the very centre of a metropolis is a smart move for many companies. Aside from the extra space, lower rent and on-site facilities, you tend to find a strong community feel, which builds to foundation for collaboration between business.

For small local businesses looking to grow, having access to flexible workspace on these satellite sites is a bonus. The option of shorter leases, as well as the chance to easily upscale or downsize the amount of space being rented makes a big difference to fledgling businesses’ bottom lines (something that’s not an option with conventional office space).

Regus Watford Croxley, UK exemplifies why it works so well. Situated on the outskirts of North London, in Watford’s Croxley business park, the Regus Centre answers the call of local business owners. Sam Armstrong is the centre’s Community Manager. “The centre has been designed for those that need a modern and professional environment to work from,” she says. “The community is made up of professional and creative SMEs local to Watford and Rickmansworth.”

Being based at Croxley Park means Regus members have easy access to an array of handy business facilities and opportunities – including excellent transport links to London. “There’s meeting and event space, networking events and free public transport connecting the park with the Watford rail stations and town centre,” says Armstrong. “There are two Tube stations and one mainline station all with direct links to London.”

“We have a mix of creative and professional businesses renting office space. There is a now a strong pool of business club users that live locally and are looking for a smart, flexible workspace. All clients are encouraged to get involved with events happening on the business park and we regularly promote this alongside our own networking events.”

What kind of businesspeople may want to consider setting up at Regus Watford Croxley? “We’re a great fit for existing Watford and Croxley Park tenants that are soon to be needing to relocate or downsize, as well as startups needing to make the right impression to potential investors and clients,” says Armstrong.

Before setting up at Regus Watford Croxley, Ricochet Media was originally in Croxley Park business park and was looking for alternative office space. “We wanted to stay on Croxley Park, but to upgrade to better facilities,” says Rob Gamage, Director of Ricochet Media. “We're mainly office-based, but it's a good location for attracting local staff, while also being an easy commute into London when necessary.”

Ricochet moved its team of ten into the Regus centre in March, so they could continue to benefit from the business park’s location, as well as the flexibility of leasing flexible office space (compared to a standard lease), plus the high-quality workspace on offer.

“It’s working out brilliantly so far,” says Gamage. “We're really happy with the office, the facilities, the location next to the new upgraded Hive, and the friendly service from the Regus staff team. It's been a great move for us.”
