In the county of Somerset lies the historic city of Bath. Nestled within the countryside of southwest England, the city boasts natural hot springs that were used to power public baths dating back to the Roman era. Other notable historical sites in the city include The Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey and the Assembly Rooms, with many examples of Georgian architecture. The Roman Baths contain ruins of a temple, statues and other artefacts from the time period. There are also a number of theatres in the city, which attract some of the brightest talents from across Europe.
