As a former navy town, Chatham has an abundance of history and character. Although Chatham Dockyard closed in 1984, the naval buildings remain as a strong draw for tourists to the area, with Chatham Historic Dockyard museum being one of the main attractions. Apart from the Corps of Royal Engineers, which are still based within barracks located in town, the closure of the Dockyard and the naval industry resulted in a shift for local businesses. Now, one of the largest employers in Chatham is Vanquis Bank Ltd, a subsidiary of Provident Financial.
There are excellent rail links from this Kent town into the city of London, with frequent trains running to London Victoria, London Charing Cross and St Pancras International. In the opposite direction, these services run to Dover and Ramsgate. There are also regular buses connecting Chatham to the rest of Kent and London.
Our serviced offices in The Joiners Shop at The Historic Dockyard focus on the needs of smaller businesses and start-ups in the arts, crafts and design sectors. There are a range of small studios and fully serviced large offices, which can be hired for anything from a month to a year.
If a fully serviced office is more than your business needs, our shared working spaces for hire can allow for greater flexibility - only pay for what you user. Regus centres in Chatham also provide meeting spaces. Perfect for presentations, company training sessions or interviews, our meeting rooms can be fully equipped with projection equipment as well as catering and coffee services.
