Many foreign companies and embassies house their employees in this small but affluent town, which has the largest expatriate population in Costa Rica. English is widely spoken. Other businesses in the hi-tech complex include leading IT and consultancy firms and a five-star hotel. It is near Multiplaza Escazu and Avenida Escazu, two large commercial complexes featuring shops, banks and financial institutions.
