This is now an architecturally impressive and important public square and traffic intersection, near to the Reichstag German parliament building and Cultural Forum, with attractions including the national gallery and philharmonic hall. There are many foreign embassies nearby, and the area is attracting leading corporations. Public transport links were included in the area's redevelopment, and the nearest U-Bahn underground station is directly in front of the building.
